So in this article I am giving you the information through which you can port your mobile number to another telecom company easily. For that you can follow the steps below.

How to Port mobile numbers from one network to another
Step 1: Type “PORT<space> Mobile number” and send it to 1900, from that number which you want to port. Example: “PORT 98xxxxxxxx” and send it to “1900”.
Step 2: When you send this message successfully, you will receive a message that will contain a code called UPC which means Unique Porting Code, Which you have to give to the new telecom company in which you want to go to.
This means that when you go to that new SIM shop you will be asked for this UPC code. Remember that its validity is only 15 days, and when you give this code and the necessary documents (like – Driving License, Passport, Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or PAN Card) to the new company, then within three days you are ported to the new company.

You will be provided a new SIM card of the new company but your number will be old (same).
Unless your new SIM is turn on, you can keep your old SIM in your mobile, And this will keep working right. And on the day it stop working, put your new SIM and you will now have a new SIM with your old number.

There are some conditions for mobile number port.
- Your SIM must be 90 days old.
- You have not kept any loan in the old SIM, if you are a post-paid customer; please make sure that you have paid all outstanding dues according to your final bill.
- You can port mobile number in your own circle.
- If you are a prepaid customer, please note that the amount of talk time, if any, will be lost at the time of porting.
So in this way you can easily go to another company or port keeping your old mobile number.
